Effective Date
Starting a new job tomorrow? Choose today or your project start date. Most carriers allow future start dates; backdating usually isn’t allowed. If you’re switching from another policy, set this to begin when the old one ends so there’s no gap.
Coverage Limit
Most small contractors choose $1M / $2M (per-occurrence / aggregate) for General Liability. Need more because a GC or landlord said so? We can bump to $2M / $4M or add an Umbrella. Pick what satisfies the contract requirement. I’m here if you’re not sure.
